Yes, the gate never drops unless we have a Red Cross certified person on duty.
The track is open to the public unless a sanctioned event is taking place on the track. Anytime the South Park BMX has gate practice or a race or a scheduled clinic, only NBL members are allowed on the track.
The only requirement is to have long pants and long sleeves and a full faced helmet.
When paid for, trophies will be given out to Rookie riders only. All other classes who pay for trophies will be receiving Track Bucks. The denominations are as follows:
Yes, the levels of racing are local, state, regional and national. You can do as little or as much as you would like.
No. You can absolutely sign up to be a member anytime. Your membership runs from the day you sign up to one year following. With the exception of trial memberships.
A person can sign a membership form, being valid for 30 days for $30.00, to see if they like it. If they do, they can sign the rest of the contract and pay the additional $20.00 for the rest of the year. (Your year begins on the first day of the trial membership).
No. Your NBL license is good for any NBL track in the country, but you must pay the local race fees.
As long as you can ride a bike, you can join NBL. We have had racers as young as 3.
Yes, (412) 831-3620. However, you must have at least raced one local race before your first phone call, so we can already have your information in the computer.
