August 11 starts the 2010 Jersey Series. The series will run 10 weeks ending October 20, 2010 (there will be no race September 1 due to the Grands). In order to be eligible for a jersey, participants need to compete in 8 out of the 10 races. There will be no trophies distributed during the Jersey Series and the race fee will be the points only fee of $7. Every rider in each age group and skill level that completes 8 of the 10 races will receive a jersey. Jerseys will be presented to each qualified rider during the opening ceremonies at the first local race in 2011. STARTING 8/11 REGISTRATION WILL BE FROM 6-7 AND RACING WILL START AT 7:30.
Just a few notes:
You must be present and race in order for the race to be counted towards your 8 races. Should a rider register online or by phone and not show for the race, that race will not be counted.
If a rider is injured and cannot ride they will still need to register and hold their number plate or bike on the gate for their moto (but do not have to ride the track) in order for that race to count.
The jerseys will not be for sale. The only way to get one is to qualify for one. A sample of last year’s jersey will be on display in the registration building. The design will be different this year.
Lastly, we are looking to get more sponsors for this year’s series. Should you be interested or know of a business that may be interested in sponsoring the series and having their names on the jersey please see George or Dee for details.
